What To Do If Tickets Sold Out
If tickets to the Colosseum are sold out on the official website, don’t worry—there are still ways to secure access. Here are some
tips to help you visit this iconic landmark:
- Many guided tours include Colosseum tickets as part of their package. These tours often provide access to premium areas like the Arena floor, underground, or even the attic, and they are a great way to learn more about the history of the Colosseum from an expert guide.
- Each morning, the Colosseum’s ticket office releases a limited number of same-day tickets. Arriving early to get in line increases your chances of securing these tickets for afternoon entry.
- Consider Alternative Entry Times: If morning slots are full, you may be able to purchase a ticket for an afternoon visit. Flexibility with your schedule can help you find opportunities others might miss.
Buy Tickets at the Colosseum
It is still possible to buy tickets for the Colosseum on the day. Tickets are sold at the box office
opposite the main entrance to the Colosseum. Keep in mind that even if purchased in the morning, your tickets might grant entry only
in the
afternoon, depending on remaining availability.
